Description
Stoneset Silver Luckenbooth Brooch
Holyrood Stoneset Brooch
Stone set sterling silver celtic brooch. Handcrafted jewellery from the work bench of Hebridean Jewellery.
The Luckenbooth brooch is a traditional Scottish design that dates back to the 16th century.
It is named after the stalls or booths, where they were on sale, near St. Giles, in Edinburgh.
The brooches were usually given as a token of love, much as an engagement ring is today.
The Holyrood Stoneset Brooch features a silver Celtic knot, symbolic of unity and eternity, set with a choice of three gemstones: amethyst, citrine, and smoky quartz.
The amethyst represents wisdom and harmony, the citrine represents wealth and prosperity, and the smoky quartz represents protection and grounding.
Hallmarked at Edinburgh Assay office.
Supplied with wooden presentation box.
45mm X 35mm 7.6g silver
9ct Gold is generally 10% heavier

Assuming 5 is the highest, I give this brooch a 10…and indeed everything I’ve bought from Hebridean. I purchased two of these brooches, one for me, one as a wedding gift for a friend I sadly fell out with…still, the brooch is wonderful, and I’m glad I have mine
