Gold Celtic Rings

    Frequently Asked Questions

Are your gold Celtic rings made in Scotland?

Yes — every ring is handcrafted to order in our workshop in South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. We are a small family goldsmithing business that has been making jewellery on the island since 1974. Each piece is made by hand by our skilled goldsmiths before it reaches you — no factory production, no shortcuts.

What gold do you use — 9ct or 18ct?

We offer rings in both 9ct and 18ct gold across our collection, as well as yellow, white and rose gold options depending on the design. Both carats are hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office, guaranteeing purity and authenticity. If you are unsure which carat or gold colour is right for you, please get in touch and we will be happy to advise.

Can I use a gold Celtic ring as a wedding band?

Absolutely — many of our gold Celtic rings are designed specifically as Celtic wedding bands, and others work beautifully in that role. Our knotwork and spiral designs carry a timeless symbolism that makes them a popular choice for weddings, civil ceremonies and commitment rings. If you would like a matching pair or have a custom sizing request, please contact us directly.

Do your gold Celtic rings make a good gift?

They make a truly special gift for a significant occasion — an anniversary, a milestone birthday, an engagement or a wedding. Each ring is hallmarked, handcrafted in Scotland, and arrives beautifully presented and ready to give. With free UK delivery included on every order, a gold Celtic ring from South Uist is one of the most meaningful luxury Scottish gifts you can find.
