Glenshiel Gold Earrings
Introducing the Glenshiel Gold Earrings—a magnificent interpretation of Scotland’s cherished heritage, handcrafted in the Outer Hebrides.
These elegant earrings draw their inspiration from the proud thistle, Scotland’s national emblem, renowned for its delicate purple and white blossoms and its historical role as a symbol of resilience.
According to ancient legend, as Viking raiders attempted nocturnal assaults on Scottish villages, the wild and thorny nature of the thistle inadvertently served as a guardian.
The sharp thorns would catch the invaders off guard, causing them to cry out in pain and ultimately alerting the locals to the danger.
This story of nature standing in the defense of a people helped enshrine the thistle as a powerful national symbol—a legacy that dates back to the late 1200s.
In honour of this rich tradition, our design pays tribute to some of Scotland’s legendary battles, embodying both beauty and bravery.
Expertly fashioned in gold, these earrings measure 19mm in length and 16mm in width, with an approximate weight of 4g.
Their meticulously detailed Celtic knotwork and thistle motifs are not only visually captivating but also serve as a timeless reminder of strength, unity, and enduring spirit.
Every pair is hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office, a testament to its authenticity and superb craftsmanship, and is presented in a finely crafted wooden presentation box—ideal for gifting or treasuring as a personal keepsake.
Embrace the timeless allure of Scottish heritage with the Glenshiel Gold Earrings—a piece of jewellery that carries the legacy of ancient battles and the resilient spirit of the Scottish landscape wherever you go.
